Arjuna bark powder

Arjuna is one of the leading medicinal plants in Unani medical science. Mainly, Arjun's bark is used as medicine. However, its roots, leaves and fruits can also be used. The main action of Arjuna is to strengthen the heart. Arjuna bark can be taken as extract or powder mixed with water.

Arjuna strengthens the heart muscle, increases blood flow to the coronary arteries, regulates blood pressure and lowers the levels of harmful cholesterol in the blood. So, it is used in hypertension, angina, coronary heart disease etc. Another specialty of Arjuna bark is that, it lowers the amount of blood sugar which helps in controlling diabetes. Arjuna bark powder works better in excessive urination, kidney and urinary tract problems, especially save kidney from stones. It is also useful in curing fever and dysentery.

According to a study, regular consumption of Arjuna bark heals broken bones and wounds. Besides, mixing Arjuna bark powder with ghee / milk and plastering the broken part brings good results.

Bathing in boiled water with Arjuna leaves removes body odor. In one study, Arjuna is mentioned as an antidote to poison.

According to DOS (Doctrine of Signature) & TOS (Teachings of Similarity) therapy, Arjuna bark color is red which indicates that, it is very effective for the heart and circulatory system. Researchers studied upon heart failure patients & they have found that, regular consumption of Arjuna bark powder has greatly improved the condition of patients.


Dosage and rules: -

Arjuna bark powder can be taken up to 1-4 gm and extract up to 10-12 gm.

Those who are suffering from heart disease should take 1 teaspoon of Arjuna bark powder mixed with 1 cup of water every morning. Similarly, those who have diabetes and those who are not taking insulin should also take 1 teaspoon of Arjuna bark powder mixed with 1 cup of water every morning.

Drink extract of Arjuna bark regularly in the morning after breakfast to repair broken bones or to relieve arthritis pain. To prepare extract, take 10 gm of whole bark of Arjuna in 500 ml of water, then boiled it on medium heat. When water become 1/3rd, take it down. Cool it, strain it and drink it.

Caution: - 

Never eat excessive amount of Arjuna powder. Pregnancy, breastfeeding and those who have had surgery recently are forbidden to eat Arjuna.

Those who suffer from gastritis, headache and constipation should eat Arjuna bark powder or extract mixed with honey.
